New York, NY (February 12, 2011) - Mik Cire by Eric Kim made its collection debut at the Fall 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at New York’s Bryant Park. The collection garnered instant acclaim for its architectural lines and urbane take on classic American menswear.
A year later, Kim is back with Mik Cire’s Fall 2011 line, set to hit the runway today at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. The runway will feature a total of 30 looks, comprised of tailored leather jackets, and engineered pants, revealing a minimalist aesthetic underscoring Kim’s passion for sleek modern lines.
“Form plus function. That’s how I would sum up the new line,” said Kim. “A balance of cohesive style, comfort and wearability.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Kim’s inspiration draws from his association with Southern California’s surf and skate culture, coupled with his fond appreciation for contemporary architecture. His regular use of neutral and dark colors work to understate the line’s edgy appeal, designed to be wearable by the everyday man.
